Safeguarding & Policies
Mission Statement
Safeguarding is the foundation of everything we deliver. Living Nature Wellness CIC is committed to the safety and wellbeing of every child, young person and adult who takes part in our programmes.
Our People
Every Living Nature facilitator, co-facilitator and support worker holds an Enhanced DBS check. Every session is led by a facilitator with experience of working with children, and where a lead facilitator is the sole adult with a group, they hold a current Paediatric First Aid certificate. Our founder and director is a qualified integrative psychotherapist and former teacher.
Our Practice
We work to a written Safeguarding Policy, reviewed annually, with a named Designated Safeguarding Lead. Staffing ratios follow our published Staffing Ratio Policy, set to the age and needs of each group. Risk assessments are carried out for every site and activity we run. Group agreements — spoken at the start of every session — give children and adults clear, consistent ways to seek help.
Our Cover
Living Nature Wellness CIC holds public liability insurance appropriate to outdoor delivery with children and adults. Certificates and full policies — safeguarding, health & safety, data protection, and staffing — are available on request to schools, commissioners, funders and parents: hello@livingnatureuk.org.
Concerns
If you have a safeguarding concern relating to any Living Nature activity, contact our Designated Safeguarding Lead at hello@livingnatureuk.org. If a child or adult is in immediate danger, always call 999..
