Held in Nature

A therapeutic wellbeing group for women. Eight weeks. Outdoors. Together.

Most of us don’t stop. We drive to the next thing, manage the next thing, hold the next thing. By the time evening comes, we’re still running.

This group is for the part of you that needs somewhere to land.

Over eight weeks, a small group of women meet fortnightly at Werneth Low — to slow down, move gently, make things, and talk. The sessions weave together nature connection, creative reflection and quiet conversation. Nothing requires artistic skill or experience. You just need to show up.

Women who’ve taken part have described feeling more present, more grounded, and less alone in what they’re carrying. Some have said it’s the only hour in their week that’s genuinely theirs.

The approach is rooted in research into the therapeutic power of nature and creative expression, drawing on the Arts for the Blues model.

What the sessions include

  • A gentle arrival and body-based check-in
  • Elemental movement and grounding practices
  • Time outside in the landscape
  • Creative reflection — drawing, mark-making, making things from nature
  • Reflective conversation in a small, safe group

Who it’s for
Women who feel mentally busy, emotionally full, or like they spend most of their time giving to others. No experience of therapy, creativity or nature needed.
