Building a Community: Reconnecting People & Nature
Living Nature is a community interest company rooted in the belief that our relationship with the natural world genuinely matters — and that community, real community, is something most of us are quietly hungry for.
We run nature-based programmes for children, families, and adults at Werneth Low Country Park. We bring the same approach into schools, NHS teams, and workplaces. And we train practitioners who want to bring it into their own work.
But underneath all of it, we’re building something simpler: a community. People who keep coming back. Children who grow up here. Adults who find each other. A Living Nature community — gathered, grounded, and genuinely connected.
All ages. All welcome. Led by a qualified psychotherapist. Shaped by the seasons.

Wild & Gather
The heart of what we do
Ground & Gather for Adults
A monthly outdoor circle for adults who need somewhere to land. We slow down, we sit in the season, we talk or we don’t. Ground & Gather is gentle, grounding, and genuinely restorative — led by someone who needs it just as much as anyone who comes.
Wild & Well for Young People
Nature-connected days for children and young people aged 5–16. Through Wild & Well Kids Club, Wild & Well Stewards, and The Learning Hive, we offer nurturing spaces rooted in creativity, outdoor exploration, and emotional confidence. Our approach puts connection, curiosity, and community back at the centre — and trusts children to follow their own.
Wild & Gather for the whole community
Our growing community gathering — open to everyone. Children, adults, families, people on their own. We meet outdoors, in the season, and spend time together without any agenda except to arrive and be here. Wild & Gather is where the Living Nature community comes together — and where we’re building toward something bigger: seasonal gatherings, wild weekends, and a community that knows how to be outside together.
Calmer Communities for organisations
We bring nature-based emotional wellbeing into the places where people spend most of their time — schools, hospitals, workplaces. Sessions are practical, grounded, and led by a qualified psychotherapist. Not a workshop. Not a tick-box. Something that actually changes how a team or a classroom feels.
Come and gather with us
The seasons are turning. Time to come outside.
Wild & Gather launches on World Rivers Day — Sunday 27th September at Werneth Low. A morning outside, open to everyone. Children, adults, families, people on their own. No agenda except to arrive, breathe, and be here together.
This is where the Living Nature community gathers. Come and be part of it from the very beginning
How We Make A Difference
Every session at Living Nature creates a small ripple. A child who arrives anxious leaves muddy and laughing. An adult who wasn’t sure they belonged finds they do. A young person discovers they’re capable of leading.
We’re a CIC — which means everything goes back into the community. Every booking helps us offer more accessible places, run more sessions, and keep showing up for the people who need this most.
The Common Ground
Free tools, trails, practices, and reading — to support your connection with nature, wherever you are.
A seasonal trail to walk at Werneth Low. Guided practices on Insight Timer. Downloadable tools for families and individuals. An honest reading list of the books that have shaped how we work. All free.
